During our trip out to Los Angeles for LA Barbercon, we got the chance to visit some of the best shops around. There's tons of dope shops in the area and we didn't have a whole lot of time, so we had to choose wisely. Grey Matter was an easy choice.
Located on the famous North La Brea Avenue, Grey Matter LA is a premiere barber salon providing an upscale experience to high end clientele. Grey Matter's co-founder, Vincent Garcia (you may know him as Vince the barber), is one of the most high profile barbers in the industry. You can see his work just about every night during the winter months on the likes of Devin Booker, Carmelo Anthony, and Damian Lillard. When you step into the doors of Grey Matter, the vision is clear. From the industrial floors and lighting fixtures, to the white paneling on the walls, to the touch of green from its various plants, everything flows.
If you're in LA, make sure to swing by for a cut, you won't be disappointed. Plan ahead though! We can't anticipate there will be much availability with the cuts coming from the Grey Matter team.
